“You are incredibly talented.”

We eventually made it off the chair, into clothes, and seated across from one another to enjoy our dinner in our cabin. Her cheeks practically matched the color of the wine. I wondered if it was because of the compliment or because she was reflecting on what we’d just done. Which as soon as the memory tickled my brain, my cock was all too willing to re-enact.

“I mean it, Sera. The angel moniker suits you. It’s like your parents knew what an incredibly empathetic and talented child they’d just given birth to and so they had to name you after an angel.”

Rather than answer me, she busied herself with her lobster. Lobsters, which left something to be desired. They definitely weren’t Maine lobsters.

“I hate to frame conversations in a manner that suggests needing to do anything, but the world is missing out with a voice like that.”

“Unfortunately, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Santa Fe, Boston, Philadelphia, Cleveland all disagree with you. I went into the conservatory with my eyes wide open. I knew it would be tough to get into a company. I’ve made my peace with not having the career of my dreams.”

“What about London, Paris, Berlin, Rome—if the United States didn’t pan out what about the international stages? I’m telling you; you have talent with a capital T.”

She caressed my hand, and I saw stars. It was such an innocuous gesture yet achingly tender at the same time.

“Thank you.” She smiled at me and squeezed my hand. “If you could see inside me, there’s a warmth there I haven’t felt in ages. It feels so good to sing, especially for an appreciative audience.”

Her saucy wink and flirtatious smile had my insides battling between tender and desperate to clear the entire table and bend her over it while forcing her to sing an entire four-hour opera.
